The festivities began, Friday evening May 5, 2006 with a Hawaiian Luau buffet an auction highlighting Marine Corps memorabilia and the hospitality suite. Saturday featuree a visit to the Marine Corps Blount Island Command. Marine Corps Blount Island Command supports the Maritime Pre-positioning Program which provides rapid logistical response to trouble spots throughout the world. The visit to Blount Island was followed by an afternoon Kentucky Derby event and dinner with Brigadier General Jackson as the guest speaker. A very moving memorial ceremony was conducted on Sunday morning by Navy Chaplains including our own Captain Charles S. Rimmer ChC USN Retired and Father Ron Camarda, CHC, LCDR, USNR of Camp Fallujah/ Bravo Surgical will conclude the event. Check back for upcoming events! For information contact: Semper Fi |
